My name is Kylie Walker, and I am a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP). I am passionate about holistic nutrition and the connection between food and health.
Mainstream medicine rarely recognizes the connection between diet and lifestyle and the myriad of health problems that plague modern society. If you are suffering from a chronic health burden — such as chronic fatigue, gastrointestinal issues, autoimmunity, adrenal fatigue, obesity, diabetes, infertility, arthritis, PMS, and more — and don’t know where else to turn, you have come to the right place.
My approach to nutritional therapy is to treat the body as a whole while seeking the root source of health concerns, rather than simply suppressing symptoms with medication. It is an evidence-based approach to maximizing one’s health potential through individually formulating nutritional and lifestyle recommendations based on bio-individual needs. I am happy you are here, and I look forward to learning more about you and your health goals. Contact me today to set up a free 15 minute phone consultation to learn about how I can help you achieve your health goals.
I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with my husband, Jonathan, and our two Goldendoodles, Gracie and Mya. I work full-time for Carnegie Mellon University, and I am a part-time nutritional therapist. Balancing a full-time job, part-time commitments, and a healthy lifestyle can be challenging. Luckily, I have a loving family who supports me and makes it all possible. Outside of my 9-5, a lot of my time is spent in my kitchen or planning meals. Eating fresh, real foods on a daily basis is how I find harmony in a hectic life. Eating well gives me energy and balances my mood, which sets me up for a successful day. I am passionate about nutrition and find great joy in preparing deliciously balanced meals for me and my family.
If I am not working or cooking, you can probably find me spending quality time with my wonderful family and friends or finding ways to stay active. Hiking, taking the pups for a walk through the neighborhood, and chasing around my two cute-as-can-be nephews are some of the ways I like to keep moving. I love being outdoors when the weather is pleasant to enjoy boating, biking, camping, and the like. Pittsburgh has a long stretch of gloomy winter days, so I usually spend my free time on these days recharging. Staying active is important, but rest and relaxation is just as valuable. A little R&R can go a long way, and for me it’s about finding the right balance.
